膨润土(Bentonite)

       膨润土是以蒙脱石为主要矿物成分的黏土岩，具有强的吸湿性和膨胀性，能吸附8 - 15倍于自身体积的水量，吸水后体积膨胀可达数倍至数十倍。它在钻井泥浆、铸造、冶金、环保等领域有广泛应用。

Bentonite is a clay rock with montmorillonite as the main mineral component. It has strong hygroscopicity and expansibility, and can absorb 8 to 15 times the amount of water of its own volume. After absorbing water, its volume can expand several to dozens of times. It is widely used in fields such as drilling mud, casting, metallurgy, and environmental protection.
